Hays County is now the fastest growing county in the country with the area’s population having multiplied ten times over since 2000.
For this reason, CTVS realized the need to offer expert and quality cardiothoracic care to residents there so they no longer have to travel to Austin for it. We are therefore pleased to announce that our new full-time clinic is now open in Kyle.
“To provide this level of specialty care in Hays County is critical to the health of Central Texans,” said Dr. Stephen J. Dewan, president of CTVS and board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon. “We’re excited to provide exceptional care using innovative and life-saving technologies in the Kyle area.”
The new clinic will provide patients with our many cardiac, thoracic and vascular disease therapies conveniently close by and under one roof.
In addition to offering regular diagnostic and routine procedures, one other unique feature in the Kyle office is our vascular intervention suite (VIS).
The VIS is used for diagnostic purposes and dialysis access interventions for kidney failure as well as treatment of peripheral artery disease (PAD).
More than 6.5 million people in the U.S. suffer from PAD, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Via state-of-the-art imaging in the VIS, our board-certified cardiothoracic and vascular specialists can pinpoint clogged arteries and spots with poor circulation and then help restore healthy blood flow to these areas.
For 65 years, CTVS has been a Central Texas pioneer specializing in surgery of the heart, lungs, chest, esophagus and major blood vessels of the body. Our team of more than 25 surgeons, along with our trusted physician assistants, nurses, and technicians, looks forward to sharing their experience and commitment to excellent patient care with the families of Hays County.
