We participate in most major health insurance plans. Please check with your insurance provider at the outset of treatment to ensure that you have coverage for treatment (and at what level) and to be sure that we are listed as a provider with your plan. Confirming coverage is the patient’s responsibility.

To avoid unpleasant and expensive surprises in this era of “managed care,” we strongly encourage our patients to carefully research the specific provisions of their health insurance coverage. Insurers typically deny coverage if you do not meet their provisions. It is the patient’s responsibility to know the specific requirements for coverage, and to inform our office of all special requirements. It is important that you bring your insurance card to every appointment. If you switch insurance companies or change your address, phone number, etc., please contact our office as soon as possible so we can make the necessary changes to your chart and/or account.

Method of Payment

All insurance co-payments are due at the time of treatment. You will be sent a monthly bill for additional balances due, including portions not covered by your insurance company. You may pay by cash, check, VISA, Discover, American Express, or MasterCard. If necessary, we can provide financial counseling. Our billing office can be reached at (512) 459-9675.

All of our physicians are contracted with the insurance companies listed unless otherwise noted. In January 2018, we will accept Cigna Local Plus and at the end of February 2018, we will accept OSCAR.

If your insurance is not listed please do not hesitate to call or email our office to verify. Please note that we do not accept worker’s compensation or Scott and White commercial Medicare/Medicaid. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Insurance Referrals

Some insurance plans do require a referral for services.  It is the responsibility of the patient and their primary care physician to obtain the referral. Please confirm with your insurance company if a referral is needed. If so, contact your primary care physician to verify that a referral has been obtained prior to your appointment.
