Brannon R. Hyde, M.D., F.A.C.S. is originally from Austin, Texas and received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Hyde completed his general surgery residency and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at The University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. He has practiced with Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons since 2012.
Dr. Hyde is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery as well as the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and specializes in cardiothoracic surgery for adult valvular, coronary, and aortic disease. He has a special interest in valve sparing aortic root replacement, aortic aneurysm and dissection repair with new off-pump and aortic stenting techniques, mitral valve repair, hybrid minimally invasive revascularization, and minimally invasive surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation.
He is an active member in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Hyde has also presented and published many peer-reviewed articles as well as book chapters in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. In addition, he has been named by his peers to the Super Doctors ® Rising Stars 2013 and 2014 list.
