David A. Nation, M.D., F.A.C.S., is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, followed by his vascular surgery fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Nation has practiced with Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons since 2015.
Dr. Nation is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He specializes in all areas of endovascular and vascular surgery. His special interests include treatment of aortic aneurysmal disease, endovascular and open surgical treatment of peripheral vascular disease, and treatment of carotid stenosis.
He is an active member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, Travis County Medical Society, American College of Surgeons, Parkland Surgical Society, and the Texas Society for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. In addition, he has presented and published multiple papers in the field of vascular surgery.
