Mazin I. Foteh, M.D., F.A.C.S. is originally from Houston, Texas and received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Dr. Foteh completed his general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. During this time, he received numerous academic and teaching awards. He has practiced with Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons since 2012.
Dr. Foteh is board-certified in general and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery and specializes in all areas of endovascular and vascular surgery. He is actively conducting clinical research in carotid stenting, abdominal aortic aneurysms, venous obstructive disease, thoracic aortic dissection, thoracic aortic aneurysm and peripheral arterial disease. He is the primary investigator for the NIH funded CREST 2 carotid clinical trial.
He is an active member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, Society for Vascular Surgery, and International Society of Endovascular Specialists. In addition, Dr. Foteh actively presents at both national and international vascular meetings. Dr. Foteh has been named by his peers to the Super Doctors ® Rising Stars 2013, 2014, and 2015 list and most recently listed as a Texas Super Doctor® 2016.
