Mark T. Stewart, M.D., F.A.C.S. is originally from Dallas, Texas and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Stewart completed his general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He has practiced with Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons since 1989.

Dr. Stewart is board-certified in general and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

He has previously served as the Chairman of the Seton Network Credentials Committee, Chief of Staff at Seton Medical Center Austin, Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery as well as Chief of Surgical Council at Seton. In addition, he was formerly on the faculty of Emory University School of Medicine and has served as a consultant in vascular surgery to the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Stewart is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the Society for Vascular Surgery, Southern Association for Vascular Surgery, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society, Texas Medical Association and Travis County Medical Society.  He has been listed multiple times in Best Doctors in America, Texas Monthly’s “Super Doc’s” and Austin Monthly’s “Best Doctor’s in Austin.” Dr. Stewart has authored numerous research articles, book chapters and presentations in his specialty.
